Previously I talked about how I wanted to try out Beachbody's newest fitness program called Insanity. The title of the program speaks for itself. It is a hardcore cardio workout. Yesterday, I was taking a look through my other programs and decided to read some of the P90X fitness guide.
I didn't know that there are 3 ways to use P90X. They have the "classic", "doubles", and "lean" versions. The fitness guides explains which dvd's to use for each day for each particular program. I chose to try out "lean" because it's a more cardio-based program - much like what I was attracted to with Insanity.
The first dvd for that program is called "Core Synergistics." It works your core muscles and let me tell you, I woke up sore all over! It was intense and even though I couldn't keep up, I pushed myself as much as I could. I felt exhausted right after the workout and later on I felt great. Now I see why so many people love P90X. The workouts are intense, they leave you feeling beat, but afterwards you feel amazing.
I haven't officially committed to the 90 day program on this. I'm kind of taking it for a test spin.
