Hip Hop Abs First Impressions

Hip Hop Abs

Today was a very exciting day for me because I started a new Beachbody program. I started Hip Hop Abs and I have to say that it was so much fun! I started with the “Fat Burning Cardio” disc and that workout is 30 minutes but it just flew by because you are so busy dancing.

The music is actually really good too. I thought it would be mediocre generic dance music but it was good music with good beats. You also have an option at the beginning of the dvd to choose whether you want the sound level of the music normal or “really loud!” :)

Shaun T. is the fitness trainer for this program and he is so into the workouts that it makes it that much more fun. The one thing I really like about Hip Hop Abs so far is that there are enough workouts to keep me from feeling burned out.

While I loved P90 (Power 90) after about 2 months, you do get kind of bored. However, you have to keep in mind that program was made many years ago. A program like Hip Hop Abs is much more up to date and not something you would get bored with easily. The cool thing is, if I want to change things up, I can always throw in a P90 dvd just for variation.

If you like dancing or just don’t want exercise to feel like “exercise”, I highly suggest trying Hip Hop Abs. The dvd’s include the following workouts:

  • Fat Burning Cardio
  • Ab Sculpt
  • Total Body Burn (Plus Secrets to Flat Abs)
  • Hips, Buns, and Thighs
  • Last Minute Abs (5 minute workout)

Don’t worry if you are not a good dancer. The moves do involve dance movements but they are still geared toward working out your abs and entire body. I don’t do the moves nearly as well as the people on the dvd’s but it’s still a lot of fun. Highly recommended!!
