How Are You Being Accountable for Your Fitness?

So far, my August is looking pretty fucking awesome.

One thing that I’ve learned about sticking to a fitness program is that I need some form of accountability to keep me going. Besides having motivation, when you hold yourself accountable, the chances of you sticking to a workout program increases significantly.

Accountability can come in many forms such as:

  • Being accountable to a personal trainer
  • Using a workout buddy to stay on track
  • Answering to family or friends about your workouts
  • Logging workouts into a calendar (offline or online)

This is why I really enjoy using Team Beachbody’s WOWY Super Gym™. It is a great system because once you set up your profile, logging workouts is easy because all of your fitness programs are already saved. You have a calender view to look back and see all of the workouts you’ve completed and it keeps you on track in terms of the days and weeks that have passed.

You also have access to buddies and every time you log in, you can see the thousands of people working out at any given time. You can chat with them, email, and get support. The Beachbody programs all work with WOWY so it’s nice logging in your workout before you start.

Not only that, but you have the chance to win a daily cash prize. Sometimes winning stuff is a great incentive. :)

Of course, you don’t have to use anything nearly as fancy as WOWY. You can keep a workout journal or use any of the methods listed above. If you are having trouble staying motivated and finding a reason to exercise, find someone or some way to be accountable. It will make a difference and get you moving!
