It isn't surprising that people immediately search for product scams on the internet and Shakeology isn't exempt from this type of research. Before I make any purchase, I almost always read reviews online or search for any negative feedback. Any smart consumer would do so. I can say from personal experience that there is no Shakeology scam. In fact, Shakeology was exactly what I was looking for in terms of a daily multivitamin.
If you aren't familiar with the shake, it is often described as a "healthy meal in a glass." While it is marketed primarily as a meal replacement shake, it is so much more than that. I personally use it as a daily multivitamin.

What is in Shakeology?

It may sound too good to be true but this shake has it all. It contains 70 ingredients to include the standard vitamins A, B, C, D, E, and K. Other ingredients include calcium, zinc, iron, magnesium, and more. However, my favorite ingredients are in the super-fruit blend which contains fruits such as acai, goji berries, and camu-camu. That means one shake contains tons of antioxidants. It contains no refined sugar or caffeine.
Besides all of the good stuff that is in it, a 90-day study was conducted by Beachbody® and it was found that Shakeology may also help to lower cholesterol, reduces cravings, improves digestion and irregularity, increases energy and stamina, weight loss, and improved mental clarity.
It isn't considered a protein shake but does contain some protein and amino acids. The shake also contains wheat grass, barley grass, oat grass, and flax seed! I can't list every single ingredient here, however, it would be difficult to find one product that contains all of those ingredients at all.
The Taste

Shakeology comes in two flavors: chocolate and greenberry. I can only vouch for the chocolate flavor which is delicious. Unlike other shakes on the market that don't even come close to the same ingredients, the taste is outstanding. When blended with milk and ice, it literally tastes like a chocolate milkshake. I personally enjoy drinking the shake on a daily basis. Not everyone likes the flavor but the people I've let sample the chocolate had no complaints.
As you can see, there is no Shakeology scam. The best thing to do is try it for yourself. Beachbody® offers a 30-day Bottom-of-the-Bag guarantee which means you can try Shakeology for 30 days and get a refund if you are not satisfied - even if the bag is empty! Chances are you will become a Shakeology fan too!

is not stevia a sugar substitute?
fructose too
Sure they are, however, something like stevia is considered natural in comparison to other sugar substitutes on the market. As far as the impact they have on the body in comparison to refined sugar, I am not sure. I do believe they are a better alternative as a sweetener.
Sorry, sugar is a much safer alt than Stevia or any other chemical cocktail sweetener.
Nothing personal Eartha but you are promoting this like you actually have some authority in this field.
1. You sell the product so you are hardly to be considered an unbiased voice on the subject.
2. You promote the product but are completely unaware of the effects of sweeteners. What you “believe” doesn’t matter.
You have to understand that this is more than you making money here. There is nothing wrong with that but if you don’t have knowledge in the field and pass yourself off as having such, you risk hurting others.
Hi MJ, thanks for your feedback. I don’t claim to be an expert at all but I do enjoy the product regardless of whether I sell it or not. You’re right, it doesn’t matter what I “believe” – which is why people should continue to do their own research before using any product.
Stevia is a naturally sweet herb that is sweeter than sugar. Because of this you can use as much of it as you want as a sweetener. Unlike artificial sweeteners, it wasn’t made in a lab so there are no cancer causing side effects like aspartame and saccharin and unlike refined sugar like high fructose corn syrup and the white stuff in the grocery stores it won’t spike your blood sugar so it’s great for people with diabetes to use. People who are on anti-Candida diets can use Stevia because it doesn’t feed the fungus like sugar does and it helps balance the good bacteria. It does have a little bit of an after taste like artificial sweeteners but it’s better than getting diabetes and cancer. I’ve been using Stevia for years. I work around cakes all day so I really have to watch sugar intake. I hope this clears up an misconception about Stevia. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Michelle, thanks for sharing your experience and info. I have read similar information about stevia.
What are the original sources of the Shakeology scam? Also, a 90-day test is not very significant. Was it a randomized test? Who conducted it?
Hey, P90X grad here. I finished the program twice and have used pure Stevia for all my sweetening needs. This is the stuff! Like Tony would said “no fat no poison in that” well that’s Stevia. There is no after taste and it is the healthiest sweetener out. I’ve lost 100 pounds on the P90X diet and using Stevia. It doesn’t leave that flap of fat over those abs.. It carves those babies rock hard!! …. I think I will try the Shakeology
@bronxilla – I’m not sure what you mean by original sources of the scam. I chose the word because it is a common search term when people conduct research on a product or service. The 90-day study was conducted by Beachbody. You can get more information about the study below:

@Daniel – Congratulations on your results with P90X, that is awesome! Hope you enjoy Shakeology as well.
