I can’t speak for other Team Beachbody Coaches but I can share my own personal experience of how much fun it is to be a TBB Coach. Each person has their own “why” when they decide to become a coach. Some people do it in order to get 25% off of their favorite Beachbody products and others do it because they enjoy health & fitness and want to earn an income from it.

I fall into the category of enjoying health & fitness and wanting to be paid for doing what I enjoy. So what exactly is so fun about being a coach? Well, I’ll break it down for why it’s fun for me.

You Get Fit and Stay Fit

There are so many varieties of fitness programs offered by Beachbody. Getting fit and staying fit is easy by just sticking with the programs. They take the guesswork out of how to eat and how to exercise. It’s like following a blueprint for fitness. It really doesn’t get much easier than that.

The Largest Fitness Club Ever

As of this writing, there are approximately 30,000 plus coaches all over the country. There are so many opportunities throughout the year to mix and mingle with other coaches at events held all over the U.S. including the yearly Coach Summit held in Los Angeles. There may even be weekly local events near you and if there isn’t, you can start one!

Working with Fun Fitness-Minded People

When you share this business opportunity with someone and they decide they want to be a TBB Coach also, you now get to work with a new friend and help them succeed in their fitness and financial goals.

Earning Income

Of course, making money isn’t a bad thing at all and getting paid weekly is quite nice. You earn income by recommending and selling any of the Beachbody products. You can also earn based on the sales of your own team. The best part is, you earn based on your personal efforts. Although, it doesn’t really feel like a lot of effort when you are having fun with what you do.

Escaping the 9 to 5

Many people have said goodbye to their day jobs and are full-time TBB Coaches. They worked hard at having fun promoting health and fitness. Now they enjoy their residual income and are living the dream. Everyone has the opportunity to do this if they put quality time into their business.

I am currently reading a book titled The Business School for People Who Like Helping People by Robert Kiyosaki. He is the author of Rich Dad Poor Dad and Cashflow Quadrant (two great reads) and what makes this book great is that it is all about the direct selling (network marketing) industry.

Many people have a negative outlook on network marketing due to bad past experiences, unethical companies, or simply due to a lack of understanding and close-mindedness. While reading the book, a lot of points stood out for me because being a Team Beachbody Coach has provided a lot of the things for me in which the book discusses. I’ll highlight some of them below.

Equal Opportunity

People from all types of backgrounds are coaches. We’re talking stay-at-home moms or dads, school teachers, doctors, fitness trainers and more. So long as you have a desire to get fit and help others, you can take advantage of the business opportunity.

Life-Changing Business Education

One thing Robert Kiyosaki stresses in his books is that if you want to be financially free, you need to get out of the E (employee) and S (self-employed) quadrant and get into the B (business) and I (investor) quadrant (read Cashflow Quadrant for more explanation.) The average person lacks the knowledge, skills, and cash to start a business from scratch. Network marketing provides the training which develops your skills to run and build a business with a very low investment to start. I am blown away at the amount of business training that is provided by Team Beachbody. Not only from the company itself but from the team of coaches I am a part of.

Friends Who Pull You Up, Not Push You Down

I have friends at my previous job who are wonderful people, but realistically, when you are in a corporate environment it still involves competition. You are competing for promotions amongst your peers. In network marketing, your peers want your business to grow. When you grow, it helps the whole team so everyone wants you to succeed. You don’t feel the pressure of trying to outdo someone else. You are pushed to reach success.

Not Working for Money

Unlike trading hours for dollars like so many of us are used to, network marketing isn’t about working for money, it is about working for wealth. Many people approach the business with the attitude of “How much money can I make?” Wealth isn’t measured in money, it is measured in time. If you lost your current job tomorrow, how long could you survive financially? Can you take off for a week or two and not worry about your income? Working for wealth in network marketing means creating the ability to have time-freedom. Freedom to spend your time how you want and still have income coming in. Isn’t it worth working to build wealth than continually trading hours for dollars?

Besides all of those great benefits above, network marketing is essentially about building relationships with people. As a TBB Coach, you help people improve their health, fitness, and financial future if they choose to become coaches themselves.

I remember sitting in my little cubicle years ago, staring out of my window and wishing I could be out there rather than stuck in my tiny space trading hours for dollars. Have you ever seen the movie Office Space? That was my life for many years and I’m sure you are currently experiencing the same or similar.

I learned long ago that it’s not always about the money when it comes to a career. Yes, we need income to live but what many people desire is the time to do more of what they want and to be able to spend time with their families. Maybe you have recently heard about the Beachbody coaching opportunity and are searching for what exactly it is that a Beachbody Coach does. First it is important to understand more about the company itself. Beachbody is a company that specializes in creating in-home fitness and weight loss solutions. Some of their most popular programs include P90X®, Insanity®, Slim in 6®, Brazilian Butt Lift®, RevAbs®, and more.

Many Independent Beachbody Coaches started off as customers. They were looking to get fit and started using one of the many fitness programs. They may have heard about the coaching opportunity or were introduced to it from their own Beachbody Coach. 3. Promotes Health and Fitness – The overall goal is to get others to develop a love for health and fitness. So many people are overweight and struggling to improve their health. The Beachbody programs are great ways to get people to exercise again. Every fitness program is a complete plan which covers exercise and nutrition. When you can match a program to a person’s own fitness issues, you are helping them on their way to a healthy lifestyle.

4. Being a coach myself, I receive questions that are often asked by people who want to learn more about the opportunity. Below are my answers to these common questions.

1. How much time does it take up to run the business?
From my personal experience, I work on my business part-time which is usually anywhere from a couple of hours a day or several hours depending on my schedule. I definitely enjoy the flexibility.

2. How soon before I start making income?
This is all based on an individual’s own efforts. I started to make money after about 2 months. However, there are coaches who put in much more effort and grow their incomes much faster. Keep in mind it is a business and it will take time to build.

3. How much will it cost to run this business?
Unlike most businesses, the investment to get started is very low. Here is a breakdown of costs:

$39.95 (One time fee.) – Your sign-up cost. You will receive your Coach Kit, access to your Coaches Back Office, your own Coach Web Site, etc.

$14.95 – Paid monthly for account maintenance (Coaches Back Office, Coach Web Site.)

50PV (personal volume) points per month – These points keep you “active” which means that you will be able to receive commissions and bonuses from the products and memberships you and your team sells, as well as commissions from your own customers. You receive these points from purchasing any of the fitness programs, fitness products, or nutritional supplements of your choice. You are investing in your health!

Keep in mind that your 50PV can also be reached from the sales you make. If you make enough sales for the month that are equivalent to 50PV or more, you aren’t required to purchase any products. Although I make enough points in sales each month, I continue to purchase products because I enjoy using them (particularly Shakeology® – my favorite!)

4. How do I get paid?
Beachbody® pays out weekly and you can receive your earnings via check or direct deposit.

I enjoy promoting health and fitness as well as earning income in the process. I’ve met so many great people who enjoy coaching and running their businesses. The products are awesome and easy to share.

First of all, happy new year! Although I’m over a week late, I hope everyone is enjoying the start of 2010. I’ve been keeping myself fairly busy since the holidays which is why I haven’t posted in awhile. However, with the new year finally here, I thought about what a great opportunity it would be for those sitting on the fence about becoming an Independent Beachbody Coach.

Getting into shape and losing weight is probably the number one new year’s resolution. The new year marks a new beginning for many people and improving one’s health is one way to make a positive change. If you are already familiar with Beachbody products, then you know how well they work in terms of exercise and healthy eating.

This makes it a great time to start your own fitness resolutions with Beachbody. Here are various reasons why:

• Save money by not spending money on gym memberships.
• Great variety in Beachbody programs.
• The Team Beachbody Club is a very large and supportive community. Plus the custom meal plans, BNN (Beachbody News Network), WOWY, and more.
• Get 25% discount on all products when you become a coach.
• Earn income by promoting the same products you use and love.
• Stay accountable for your goals.

On a personal note, I am continuing with my workouts (Shakeology the 30 and the 50 currently) and drinking Shakeology on a daily basis as my multivitamin. I have also cut back on my carb intake and go walking almost every day.

One Thing I Didn’t Mention

One thing that I do want to point out that I didn’t mention in the video is that it doesn’t take any special skills to become a coach and build your business. The main difference between me and the coaches in my network is that I learned about the opportunity before they did. Anyone who has a desire to stay fit and build a homebased business can do this. You will eventually learn how to market your business along the way. It isn’t difficult and in my opinion, it’s actually quite fun.

When you become an Independent Beachbody Coach you join a community of other highly motivated coaches who enjoy fitness, sharing the products, fitness programs, and business opportunities with others. Sound good? Still interested?

I joined Team Beachbody® in June of 2009 and little did I know how awesome joining the company and using the programs would be. My life has improved for the better in terms of health, fitness, and business. When I became a coach my goals were to workout consistantly and grow a home based fitness business. Doing both have been so much fun and so rewarding.

As you may know, Beachbody is a direct selling company. This means that almost anyone who has the desire, can start their own fitness business from home. I enjoy networking with others who also have the same goals in terms of fitness and business.

Direct selling companies work by reaching certain levels as you grow your business. Beachbody also has levels which can be obtained as your business grows. I have reached the status of Emerald Coach and now I look forward to helping the coaches on my team to do the same.

Overall, I am earning income and improving my fitness. I am having so much fun with this business that it doesn’t feel like “work” at all.

How to Move Up in Rank with Beachbody

Every Beachbody Coach is different. Some people move up in rank quickly while others choose to do it at a slower pace. That is the great thing about network marketing. You run your business when and how you want. Most coaches have full-time jobs. However, they run their business before or after work or on on the weekends.

Growing your team requires marketing. While you don’t have to know any marketing to start your business, it is a good idea to learn as you go. I utilize the internet for most of my marketing efforts because there is a greater reach and I think it’s fun. However, meeting people one on one and doing face-to-face networking is fun for some coaches as well.

Some tips for moving up in rank:

• Write or print out your goals and read them daily.
• Use the products and get results.
• Believe in the products and the company.
• Learn marketing skills (read books, blogs, etc.)
• Keep a positive attitude.
• Communicate with your coach (ask questions, learn)
• Have fun!

Joining Team Beachbody as a coach is a fun and exciting experience, however, it is also a very new one in terms of running a business. Beachbody is a network marketing company. There are huge benefits to getting involved with network marketing to include:

• Almost anyone can do it – no experience required
• Build residual income
• Personal freedom
• Work at home

However, there are a few hurdles to overcome as well which can include learning how to market products and/or services. You also have to learn all that you can about the products you promote and how to approach people. You will also become familiar with terms such as “lead generation” and “prospects.”
