I understand that it is difficult to stick to a workout program, particular one that you do on your own like P90X. Not everyone has someone to workout with so motivation can be high one day and very low another day. I am currently doing P90X (lean) and so far, I have had no problem pushing play.

The first Beachbody® program I completed was Power 90 and by the time I made it to around day 60, there were plenty of times that I wanted to sit it out and not exercise.

Below are some tips that may help you to keep pushing play and complete whatever workout program you are using.

1. Auto-schedule workouts with WOWY – Take advantage of WOWY inside of Team Beachbody. The new auto-schedule feature lets you choose the program you are using and automatically schedule your workouts. If you miss a workout, edit that day, and your remaining workouts shift into place. Click here to get your free Team Beachbody account.

2. Workout in the morning – If you are able to, workout first thing in the morning. Waiting too late in the day gives you more reasons not to exercise. You may be too tired or friends may persuade you to join them on a night out. Exercising in the morning gets it done and you can get on with the rest of your day.

3. Follow a nutrition plan – Beachbody programs come with their own nutrition plans. This takes the guesswork out of what you should be eating. If you want more variety, you can get custom meal plans when you become a paid member of the Team Beachbody Club.

4. Stay Accountable – Logging your workouts into WOWY and participating in the member forums are good ways to stay accountable. Other ways include contacting your own Beachbody Coach and getting support or telling someone whose opinion means a lot to you about your fitness goals. Having someone or other people to report to will force you to stay on track.

5. Notice your results – Physical results will come in time and will get you excited. However, also take note of your energy levels, moods, and overall confidence. Regular exercise makes you feel good as well as getting fit.

I am on day 63 of Power 90 and this program doesn’t have nearly as many workouts as P90X. After 2 months, I have pretty much memorized all of the routines that I don’t need to use the dvd’s anymore. I can do all of the exercises from memory. I have the sweat 3-4 dvd memorized better than the sculpt 3-4.

Yesterday, just to see if I could, I did my cardio workout out all from memory. When I was done, I was tired and dripping with sweat like usual but I don’t know if I did the right amount of reps on each exercise. I did 3 rounds of everything the way is is on the dvd but I think I may have been a little off on my reps.

I just thought it was funny that I have it all almost memorized now. If you are using P90 or any of the Beachbody workouts, have you got to the point where you have memorized the routines?

Today was day 40 of P90® and I couldn’t be more happier because I’ve lost a total of 4 pounds! I’m truly excited because when I did things the old way (running every other day, eating whatever I wanted) I wasn’t making any progress. Now that I’m on a plan and have my goals set, I’m seeing results. It is a great feeling and I can tell you that if you are on the fence about using any of the Beachbody® programs or any fitness program, just take the chance and do it.

The days go by so fast! You won’t believe how fast it will be before you hit day 30, day 40, and so on. Really, it’s all about having a good attitude and being committed to your goals. You CAN do it. Choose a Beachbody® program, learn how to use it, and get busy!

I was a gym member for years and eventually I became bored with having to go every day. I do not put down gym memberships at all. In fact, if it weren’t for me joining a gym, my attitude about fitness would have never turned around. I was a huge couch potato and hated everything about exercising.

I still suggest joining a gym for people who want to workout because it may have the same effect it did on myself.

What happened to me, however, was that I became bored with going. I didn’t have a program to follow and I didn’t want to hire a personal trainer. When I discovered Beachbody® programs, I knew that it would work out well for me because I’d have variety and accountability.

If you’re still on the fence about joining a gym or using fitness dvd’s, just try both. I suggest choosing a Beachbody® program and trying it for 30 days. See if you enjoy the convenience as well as the results that you will achieve. The big benefits I like about fitness dvds include:

Convenience – work out anytime at home.

Savings – You buy them once and you’re done (no recurring gym fees.)

Excellent programs – All of Beachbody programs are put together well and lead to results.

Variety – Build up your library of programs and you will not get bored.

Today was day 9 of P90 and it was a cardio/abs day. I noticed a lot of improvement since the first day. When I did my push-ups, I could only crank out about 3 in pain, now I can crank out 10 with no problem. I still do them on my knees but working up to regular push-ups soon.

Cardio was great today because I wasn’t nearly as out of breath as usual. I kept up fine. I’m thinking about transitioning to cardio/abs phase 3-4 to see if I can keep up. The circuit will have to wait until day 30 or so because I am still building up my strength.
