It’s common practice for many people who are in the process of losing weight to “weigh in” every day. This is probably not the best idea for two main reasons. Our weight will fluctuate due to water retention. Our bodies go through a process at night during sleep and one of those processes is losing water. During sleep our bodies will lose water through transpiration (sweating) and respiration (breathing.)

We also often retain water so you may find that you weigh 2 – 3 pounds more than you did yesterday and wonder what is going on. Very often this is due to water weight. Retaining water can happen by consuming too much salt and oddly enough, not drinking enough water. I have read before that staying hydrated will help reduce water retention.

Another reason you may notice a shift in weight is because if you are working out regularly, chances are you are also putting on more lean muscle. Therefore you are adding muscle which adds weight. You may think all of your effort is wasted because of the number on the scale, when it is just a combination of water weight and muscle gain.

While weighing yourself is important, don’t let the scale determine what you do in order to stay fit. Continue to eat right and workout. Pay more attention to how you feel physically and how your clothes fit rather than what the number on the scale says.

So I realized after all this time of charting my progress with using P90, I never stated what my starting weight was and what my goal weight is. That would probably make my whole weight loss journey a little more interesting I would think.

Here are the totals:

My starting weight was: 170 lbs.
Goal weight is: 135 lbs.
Current weight: 165 lbs.

I have 30 more pounds to go! I will post these numbers somewhere along the sidebar of this web site just to keep track. Oh yea, today marks day 50 of using Power 90. I told you this time is flying by fast, it really is incredible.

I did my weekly weigh-in and I’ve lost another pound (Total of 5 pounds lost as of today.) ! I’m excited at my progress and losing this extra weight is incredible motivation to stick with the program and keep doing what I’m doing. I did take two days off this week because by the time Sunday rolled around (I usually use Friday for my rest day) I fell into the lazy Sunday mode.

It actually felt great to rest another day. I have been working out 6 days a week since starting P90®. I may take two rest days whenever I just don’t feel like my body is in the mood to work out. It wasn’t necessarily a lack of motivation, just more about being lazy and enjoying my Sunday.

You Can Do This Too! Remove Your Doubts!

Other than that, I’m excited and I hope that if you are still having doubts about exercise and eating healthy, that you can learn from my experience. It’s a challenge in the beginning, but once you get into the flow of things and stay consistent, change will come. You will begin to realize it isn’t that bad. Trust me, it gets better!

Choose a program and stick with it! If you need support, contact me, I am glad to help you!

Today was day 40 of P90® and I couldn’t be more happier because I’ve lost a total of 4 pounds! I’m truly excited because when I did things the old way (running every other day, eating whatever I wanted) I wasn’t making any progress. Now that I’m on a plan and have my goals set, I’m seeing results. It is a great feeling and I can tell you that if you are on the fence about using any of the Beachbody® programs or any fitness program, just take the chance and do it.

The days go by so fast! You won’t believe how fast it will be before you hit day 30, day 40, and so on. Really, it’s all about having a good attitude and being committed to your goals. You CAN do it. Choose a Beachbody® program, learn how to use it, and get busy!

I have some great news and that is my hard work is finally paying off! I’m into day 20 of P90 and I have lost 2 pounds. While I was hoping for more, I realize that food continues to be my biggest obstacle. I have improved A LOT in terms of eating but now I am going to use Shakeology as a meal replacement to help jumpstart more of my weight loss.

Overall, I couldn’t be happier about the progress that I have made. Just within these 20 days I have noticed:

Improved sleep. I go to bed earlier and wake up earlier. (I used to be a major night owl.)

I have more energy and wake up ready to take on the day!

I feel smaller (my mid-section is tightening up.)

I am losing weight (yes!)

I am stronger (a month ago, I could bare do 3 push-ups on my knees.)

Following the P90 program has given me structure , being a part of the Team Beachbody® Club has given me accountability, and having a my own coach has given me support. Those were the big 3 that I was missing when I did nothing but go to the gym. You don’t need to become a coach to finally have success in your fitness goals. However, I do highly recommend choosing a Beachbody® program, pushing play, and following the program’s meal plan.

You can join the Team Beachbody® Club for free to try it out, log your workouts into WOWY, and buddy up with me. I am happy to answer any questions you have about the fitness programs!
