
When I joined Team Beachbody their site was just about to go down for maintenance in order to launch their new redesign. I was anxious to get started for many reasons. First off, to learn how the club works because it has a ton of features. I also wanted to begin entering my stats (weight, measurements, body fat, etc.) so that I could begin logging my workouts and tracking progress.
Finally, I wanted to enter the daily sweepstakes to win money or an electronic prize (iPod, digital camera, DVD player.) All you have to do to enter the sweepstakes is log into the WOWY SuperGym™ and enter your workout for the day.
Now that the new redesign is live, I can say that I am very impressed with the entire system. The first thing I did was fill out my profile. I posted a profile picture and a before picture. The only thing I don't like is that there is an option to post a "current" picture but when you upload it, it labels it as your "after" picture in your profile. I think it's confusing for someone not familiar with the site to see an after picture that looks the same as your before picture.
Entering workouts are really easy. You can select from the list of activities you listed in your profile such as biking, running, and more - or you can choose one of the Beachbody programs you are using such as P90X, Hip Hop Abs, Turbo Jam and others. You choose your activity and duration. Once it is logged, you are automatically entered into the sweepstakes.
Another great feature is that you can see all of the other Team Beachbody Club members who are working out as well. You can read their profiles and add them as buddies. A lot of members have already reached their goals and their before/after pictures are incredible. It goes to show that the club works if you use it and the in-home fitness programs.
I think my favorite feature are the meal plans. Food is my biggest obstacle in terms of losing weight. I don't mind working out but eating is another story. I almost always choose the wrong foods. The meal planners are awesome because you can do personalized plans or choose preset ones. I chose a basic meal plan to start and it gives you 3 weeks of menus. Now all I have to do is view the upcoming menus, shop for the food, and just follow it.
It even has a printable shopping list with checkboxes - seriously, it can't get any easier than that. You will also see the nutritional breakdown (calories, carbs, protein, fat, and fiber.)
I'm just loving this whole system so far. You can't really lose with everything you have access to. It just works so well with the DVD's and communicating with your team.
