One of my favorite reasons for drinking Shakeology on a daily basis is that I often drink it for breakfast. I am usually out of the door by 7:00 am to get to work by 7:30. This means I wake up at 6:00 am and that leaves me no time to prepare breakfast unless I do so the night before. When I'm in a time crunch in the mornings, I always have Shakeology to fall back on for a healthy meal on the go. However, when I'm in a rush, I don't have time to pull out the blender and blend up a cool recipe, so I stick to my basic: almond milk, water, and chocolate Shakeology.
If you're in a bit of a rush in the mornings or anytime during your day, pulling out the blender and having to clean it afterwards is not an efficient way to utilize your time. Below are some tips I recommend for using Shakeology when you're in a pinch for time.
Invest in a Hand Blender - Hand blenders are affordable and convenient. I recommend having one for home and keeping one at work. If you cannot blend your shake in the morning before leaving home, you can do so when you get to work. This is when the Shakeology packets definitely come in handy.
The Magic Bullet Blender - You may have seen this blender advertised on television. The difference between this and a hand blender is that you can blend your shake right in the cup you will use to drink it. The cup comes with a lid so you can literally blend up your shake, put on a lid, and head out the door.
Blending Your Shake the Night Before - I can't vouch for this as I have never tried blending Shakeology the night before. I'm sure it can work. If anything, you may have to shake it up right before drinking. It would save time but the consistency may be a little off after sitting in the fridge overnight. It is something to experiment with.
The beauty of this shake is that it takes seconds to blend up when keeping it basic (not adding extra ingredients like fruit, ice, etc.) So if you feel more comfortable taking packets to work and blending there, you are good to go. Even if you're blending right before leaving the house, a hand blender is quick to clean up compared to a blender and if you use the Magic Bullet, there is no clean up at all until you wash the cup.
There is no reason to skip a meal anymore when you have Shakeology to fall back on. It is a healthy meal in a glass!
